Merging DeFi & Traditional finance

A company I worked for was hired to develop a DeFi platform on the Moonbeam network. My job was to create a user-friendly and visually appealing interface that bridged the gap between Web3 and traditional finance.

Research

To begin, I conducted extensive research on the needs and pain points of DeFi users. Through user interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis, I gained a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the DeFi community. I also researched design patterns and trends in both Web3 and traditional finance, in order to create a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Wireframing and Prototyping:

Using the insights gathered from my research, I began wireframing the core functionality of the platform. This involved creating a user flow that was easy to understand and navigate, while still providing access to advanced features for experienced users. I then created low-fidelity prototypes to test and iterate on my designs.

Design Decisions

One of the key decisions I made during the design process was to use a color palette that was both visually appealing and attractive to both the Web3 community and people transitioning from traditional finance. I also chose to incorporate interactive data visualizations to help users make informed decisions about their investments.

Another decision was to prioritize the security of the platform by including clear indicators and warnings for potential security risks. This involved collaborating closely with the development team to ensure that security measures were integrated throughout the platform.

Iterative Design:

Throughout the design process, I regularly tested my designs with users to gain feedback and identify areas for improvement. This allowed me to refine the platform's features and functionality, ultimately resulting in a product that met the needs of DeFi users.

Overall, my work on this DeFi platform allowed me to apply my passion for design to a rapidly evolving and exciting industry. By prioritizing user needs and balancing the demands of Web3 and traditional finance, I was able to create a product that is both visually appealing and user-friendly, while still maintaining a focus on security and functionality.
